It’s almost 2016…how is that even possible? My goal for January is to use up whatever I can find in my cupboards, and only purchase what I absolutely have to. Allow me to challenge you to do the same! Take a look at your pantry and freezer and make a list of everything that’s in there. Find recipes that use as many of the ingredients that you have on hand as possible. Make a grocery list for only what you need. Make it a game. See how little you can spend on groceries this month. The holiday festivities started and this didn’t get posted, but here you go! We made our annual Christmas cookies using this AWESOME cookie recipe from my grandma: Grandma’s Butter Cookies Ingredients 3 cups flour ½ tsp. baking powder ½ tsp. salt ½ cup sugar 1 egg, unbeaten 2 tsp. vanilla 1 cup butter Instructions Sift together the first three ingredients. We baked! There are so many scrumptious goodies to cook this time of year. We love to bake, and we love to share our goodies with others.
