On the 12th Day of Christmas with the Kids…

Posted on Dec 27 2015 - 11:10pm by jennynweston

The holiday festivities started and this didn’t get posted, but here you go!

We made our annual Christmas cookies using this AWESOME cookie recipe from my grandma:

Grandma’s Butter Cookies

3 cups flour
½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
½ cup sugar
1 egg, unbeaten
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup butter

Sift together the first three ingredients. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Add the vanilla and egg and mix well. Mix the flour ingredients into the creamed.  Roll out, cut and bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes.

For the frosting, fill a cup with powdered sugar. Add a little milk at a time and mix together. Keep adding milk or powdered sugar to reach desired consistency. Then grab some sprinkles and any other decorations and have some fun!
